7 Mar

crate bookcase 3 crate bookcase 5

Bookcase made from upcycled heavy wooden fruit crates. Crates are stacked 3 high and could be reconfigured if desired. Each crate is unique with nice patina from years of use. The top two show nice remnants of advertising. The top crate reads “Crozet, Virginia,” the middle one reading “North Country” oranges.

Very nice conversation piece and nice way to showcase books, or collectibles.

Four heavy, fully rotating casters are installed for easily mobility.

Bookcase will ship unassembled, but reinstalls easy with simple tools.

Finished size: 44″high x 20″wide x 13″deep

Available locally (Portsmouth, VA) or in our Etsy shop.

Bookcase made from Upcycled Crates

Jessica saw this done recently (probably on Pinterest) and thought it was a really cool idea. I went scouring around at some flea markets recently and found three old wooden crates, different sizes and used them to make this bookcase. The top one has some nice advertising on it for Maze Nails. The bottom one is an old Encyclopedia Americana crate. I attached the three and added a set of casters to the bottom. Makes nice conversation piece and nice way to store books, magazines, nicknacks or pretty much anything….
