Super Weird Scientific Testing Equipment / 1930s

30 Oct

Vintage Scientific Medical Testing Equipment set. Manufactured in the 1920s – 1940s by SGA Scientific in Bloomfield, NJ. Metal badge on top of box reads: Laboratory Apparatus, Instruments, Chemicals & Glassware.

Really not sure exactly what this is or what it was used for, but it’s a very unique piece. The kit is housed in an oak carrying case, the front and back of the case slide out to access the equipment from either side. Contents include glass tubing and glass valves. Glass cylinders are filled with original contents, one appears to be salt, one maybe iodine? Glass tubes are connected with rubber tubing. Again, no idea what this is, so anyone knows the origin or use, please let me know!

Hang on the wall or display. Makes a great conversation piece.

Dimensions: 24″h x 12″w x 6″deep
